Divine Signs

A hand-delivered heavenly message

My loving mother is dying from cancer. She has 24-hour care between my wonderful sister, aunt and uncle. I fill in when needed.

One day between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I was blessed to be able to spend the day with her alone.

Mother's good days have become few, but today was an exception. We made trail mix and prepared dinner -- something she is unable to do as of this writing. We talked about everything!

We also spoke about death and dying, including a near-death experience I had in September of 2003. I told her about how peaceful it was.

All too soon, my shift was over and I was on my way home. It was a clear, beautiful day. I looked east at the mountains as I drove and admired the view, recalling all the good times my mother and I have had together. And there have been many! It was like watching the sweetest movie.

As I turned on to my street, I suddenly felt something touch my heart. The sensation was so real, so full of warmth and love, that I immediately looked down. It was as if I could see a hand, clear as day.

Tears of joy welled up in my eyes. Full of emotion, it was all I could do to keep from pulling over before I reached the driveway.

I came in the house crying, alarming my husband until I was able to tell him my tears were joyful.

I know I was literally touched by the hand of God. Since that day, I have had happiness, bliss, joy, strength, love for all mankind and most of all, peace. It is a feeling that I never knew existed.

I do not belong to any organized religion, but am very spiritual. I share my story with everyone without hesitation. It gives hope to all I have told. I pray it will give you hope, too.
